KB: Setup for Email/Website Hosting

If you have shared hosting and both your website and your email are on the same account, then you can start with the webmail client by using your Internet Browser to go to:

https://webmail.example.com

(put in your own domain name instead of example.com).

You will need your email address and mailbox password.

Once you have verified that you have the right user/pass you can use that info so setup an email client on your desktop or mobile. With most major Email clients the built-in new account wizard or setup tool will do the right thing and automatically create the right settings.

However if you have a problem or if you want to manually setup your email client, then you can use the following settings (again substitute your own domain from “domain.com” in the examples.

IMAP (for receiving email)

Server: imap.”domain.com”

Port: 993 with SSL (TLS)

Login User Name: “your email address”

Login Password: “your mailbox password”

SMTP (for sending email)

Server: smtp.”domain.com”

Port 465 with SSL (TLS)

Login User Name: “your email address”

Login Password: “your mailbox password”
